You have infinite entries. What is the best % play for taking 4 or more tricks?

If your goal is 4 or 5 tricks:
Line A: Cash the Ace. Finesse the J if K drops.

If your goal is 5 tricks only:
you have an equivalent line
Line B: lead the Q to play Kxx onside

On expectation Line A yields more tricks (3.89).

So line A is dominate here.

What I learnt is that the correct play (goal 4 or 5 tricks) for this holding depends on the likeliness that LHO pops up the K with KX, KXX, KJX and KJXX

Weaker opps tend to pop up K more often, and this makes the line "small to T, then run Q finesse K" a better line to avoid losing 2 tricks.

If LHO plays the K whenever he has one. This line never loses 2 tricks.

If LHO plays correctly everytime he has the K. This line loses 2 tricks when J or Jx in RHO

While cash A then finesse J if K drops:

Loses 2 tricks when KJx or KJxx in RHO

But "small to T, then run Q finesse K" is a terrible MP line, it gives up all the 5 tricks possibility
